The time of the year when it shifts from December to January. In an hour and a half, the new year will arrive here in Pasig, Philippines. As I look back at 2024, it is filled with joy and sadness, triumph and failures, major events that rocked me to the core. Had been blessed with a wonderful nephew, Kylo, and for the first time my mind was clear in October and November. Nothing lasts forever, as good old me reverted to randomness and broken sleep schedule.
As I write this post, gratitude comes to mind. I belong to a middle-class family in Metro Manila, with resources to be able to host this little blog. Thank you, Lord for the good health and protection you have provided in my family year. Thanks also for the clean water, sufficient food, a warm bed, stable internet connection. A song comes to mind which says… “Thank you for sunshine, thank you for joy, thank you for pain”. I really felt that.
My only wish to you reader is to have genuine peace and happiness this New Year 2025. Be progressive, be transformative, be genuine, be energetic. But most of all, be loving, be truthful, be caring, be free.
